[Case Study] Lightweight and Oil-Resistant, Meeting Various Conditions

Superior heat resistance significantly improves specifications compared to PVC ducts! Case study on non-halogen flame-retardant PP ducts.

Company D is engaged in various semiconductor manufacturing equipment businesses, with end users spanning both domestic and international markets. In recent years, the keyword "halogen-free" has been increasingly emphasized from an environmental perspective, leading to an interest in and adoption of non-halogen flame-retardant PP ducts. The ECO duct, which was already part of the product lineup, had issues due to the characteristics of its material, such as being "hard and brittle" and "weak against oils like lubricants." However, this duct not only addresses these issues but also enables cost reduction of the product itself by using polypropylene. [Overview] ■Challenges - Want to use ECO duct, but it is more expensive compared to PVC (vinyl) duct. - ECO duct is made of hard material, requiring effort to cut. It also has weak oil resistance. - Longer lead times compared to PVC duct. ■Requests - Quick response (within 3 to 4 business days). - Hardness that allows easy cutting by female workers. - Minimize procurement costs as much as possible. *For more details, please refer to the PDF document or feel free to contact us.
